My concentration is called "Pretty Girls on Instagram," and it is a commentary on how women are viewed through the lens of social media. This explores the simultaneous and hypocritical objectification and glorification of women's bodies in our society, and how women's’ minds are not only made invisible, but the visibility they are allowed is restricted. Society often superficially encourages women to celebrate their own bodies, but only allows them to do so in a way that it can benefit from.
